OMWSD LTD: apps built to ship, platforms built to scale, systems built to last.

Let's build the software
your business actually needs.

(01) The reach

Everyone
wants the
diamond.

An app people pay for. A platform that takes the money. A system that is still up at three in the morning. Everyone can picture it. Getting it into your hand is another matter.

It's not going to be easy.

Nothing worth shipping is. Store reviews, payments, data, uptime: we do the hard part, and then we keep it running.

Here's what that looks like ↓

(03) The work

Cut, polished
and shipped.

Everything we have put our name to: 12 projects, from our own products to client work shown with permission and the tools we run the studio on.

Live on the App Store and Google PlayOur product

Vizi Player

A media player for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and for Android phones, tablets and Android TV, that plays the playlist a person already has. It comes with no content of its own.

  • Swift
  • SwiftUI
  • StoreKit 2
  • AVFoundation
  • VLCKit (LGPL-2.1)

Shown with Vizi's built-in demo library. Every title in it is invented.

Vizi PlayerVersion 1.0.1 · Live on the App Store

A player you bring your own library to.

A media player you bring your own library to. Vizi ships with no content, no catalogue and no way to search for places to find media. You add a playlist you already have the right to watch — from your own media server, a NAS or a free-to-air stream — and Vizi plays what is there.

The line we do not blur

“It contains no content. It comes with nothing pre-loaded, has no catalogue, and no way to search for places to find media. You provide the address; it plays what is there.”

That is the product definition, the App Store description and the acceptable-use policy, word for word. Vizi must not be used to reach anything the user does not have the right to watch. That is a condition of use rather than a disclaimer: reports go to [email protected], and accounts found in breach are suspended or closed.

Fig. 02 — From the build. Every frame uses the app's own demo library: invented films and channels, generated artwork, invented ratings. No third-party content appears anywhere.

01

A guide that behaves like a guide

Seven days of schedule, with catch-up behind you and what's coming ahead, laid out for a touch screen rather than shrunk down from a set-top box.

02

Several libraries, kept apart

Live, films and series from more than one playlist at a time, kept side by side instead of merged into one unnavigable list.

03

Picks up where you left off

Films pick up where you stopped and series remember your episode. Favourites and positions stay on the device they were made on.

04

Parental controls that are actually controls

A PIN, per-category locks, and a profile that shows only what an adult has allowed. Set up by the adult, on the adult's device.

05

Built for both orientations

Portrait and landscape are designed separately rather than stretched from one another — including a full-width landscape guide.

06

Plays the file formats others won't

Two playback engines, chosen per file and swapped silently on failure, so a container another player refuses simply opens.

What's new

New in version 1.0.1

Update from the App Store to get it, and add as many playlists as you like, free.

  • Multiview: up to four things at once, side by side, with Vizi+. How many can play together depends on how many connections the playlist allows.

  • Vizi+ Lifetime: pay once (£29.99, UK price) for Vizi+ as it is today, plus five Lifetime themes and any accent colour from a colour wheel.

  • A new look: a fresh logo, app icon and opening, with theme colours to match.

  • Picture in Picture for live TV, and an AirPlay button on every player.

  • TV guides for M3U playlists, and live channels that can be starred.

  • Vizi+ that follows your Vizi account to your other devices.

Privacy and accountability

Private by design, not unaccountable.

  1. 01

Playlist sign-in details stay on the device, in the iOS Keychain, and go only to that server. They never reach us in any form we can read.

  2. 02

Favourites and viewing positions stay on the device they were made on, so no viewing history is assembled on our servers. Not collecting what a player does not need is a privacy decision — it has never been a way of not knowing.

  3. 03

Knowing is what reports are for. Acceptable use is a condition of using Vizi, reports go to [email protected], and accounts found in breach are suspended or closed — permanently where it repeats.

For anyone reviewing this

Vizi is a neutral player, in the same category as VLC. It ships with no content, no servers and no directory, names no source of content anywhere in the app or its metadata, and offers no way to search for a source. It is empty until a user enters details they already hold. Use is governed by a published acceptable-use policy with a reporting address, and accounts found in breach are suspended or closed. Digital unlocks are sold through Apple in-app purchase.

Vizi Player is published by OMWSD LTD and has been available on the App Store since 25 September 2026, currently at version 1.0.1. Free to download, with in-app purchases. Support, the privacy notice and the acceptable-use policy are on the product's own site at viziplayer.com.

(05) Standards — what we hold ourselves to

Six rules.

None of these are aspirations. They are the reasons a build either clears review and keeps running, or doesn't — and every one of them is something you can ask us to show you.

  1. Privacy designed in, not bolted on

Credentials belong in the Keychain, not on our servers. Where a product can be built so that we are incapable of holding sensitive data, it is built that way — which also means there is nothing to leak, and nothing to hand over.

  2. Licence hygiene before a line is written

Every dependency is checked for licence compatibility before it ships. A GPL-3.0 component cannot be distributed on the App Store; discovering that after the app is built costs weeks. We check first, and record the decision.

  3. Store guidelines treated as requirements

App Store Review Guidelines, the Developer Program Licence Agreement and the Human Interface Guidelines are read as specification, not as obstacles. Age ratings, subscription disclosure and data declarations are answered honestly, because a mismatch found later costs far more than the honest answer does.

  4. Accessible by default

Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels, sufficient contrast and respect for reduced-motion settings are part of the build, not a later pass that never happens. This site follows the same rule.

  5. Backed up, and the restore is tested

Off-site backups every night, with a restore that has been performed rather than assumed. A backup nobody has restored from is a hope, not a backup.

  6. Written down, so it survives us

Architecture decisions, runbooks and deployment steps are documented in the repository. If a client needs to move the work elsewhere, everything required to do that goes with it.

(06) Company — who you are actually contracting with

A named company, not a handle.

OMWSD LTD is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. The initials are the founder's — Oliver Michael Westwood — and the SD is what the company does.

It is a small studio, and we would rather say so than imply a floor of engineers. The work is led by Oliver Michael Westwood, who writes the code, signs the builds and answers the email. Specialists are brought in by name when a piece of work needs them, and you are told who they are.

Everything the company publishes — its own applications included — is released under this name, at this address, with this number against it.
