Tell us and we will act.
Last updated 19 September 2026
If something we publish is being misused — to infringe a copyright, to break the law, or in any way its terms forbid — we want to hear about it. This page says exactly where to send a report, what to put in it, what we can and cannot do about it, and how quickly we will come back to you.
You do not need a lawyer to write to us, and you do not need to use any particular form of words.
Where to send it
Every one of these reaches a person, not a ticketing queue. If you are unsure which applies, use the last one and we will route it.
What we can act on
We can disable an account, revoke a code, withdraw a release, and remove anything that is actually ours. Where the problem is somebody using our software against its terms, we close their account — and we do so on a credible report, not only on a court order.
We can also tell you plainly what we hold and what we do not, which is often the part a rights holder actually needs in order to go to the right place next.
What we cannot act on, and why
We do not host, cache, index or serve media. Our player contains no content, ships with nothing pre-loaded and has no directory or search for finding any. LinkACode stores a server address, not files, and never a path or a URL.
So if the material you want removed sits on somebody else's server, we cannot remove it — we have no access to it and no copy of it. Saying otherwise would waste your time. What we can do is cut off the account or the code that points at it, and that is usually the fastest thing available to us.
What to put in a report
Enough for us to identify the thing and act without a second exchange:
- What is being misused — the code, account, app or release.
- What the problem is. For copyright, identify the work and your rights in it.
- Anything that lets us find it: a code, a username, an email address, a screenshot, a timestamp.
- How to reach you, and whether you are acting for someone else.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that what you have told us is accurate.
If you cannot supply all of it, send what you have. A partial report is better than none and we will ask for the rest.
What happens next
We acknowledge every report within two business days, from a person who has read it. Where a report is clear and within our power to act on, we act at the same time rather than waiting.
Where it is not clear, we will say what we need and why. Where the answer is that we cannot help, we will say that too, and say who can.
We keep a record of reports and what we did about them. It is how repeat offenders get found.
Repeat misuse
An account found to have breached the terms is suspended or closed. Where it happens again, the closure is permanent and we decline new accounts from the same person. This is written into the acceptable-use policy of each product as a condition of use rather than as a warning.
If you think we got it wrong
If we have disabled something of yours and you believe that was a mistake, write to the same address and say so. Tell us what was disabled and why you think the report was wrong or the material was authorised. A person will look at it again.
We would rather reverse our own decision than defend it, and we have no interest in being the arbiter of a dispute that belongs between two other parties.
Security problems
If you have found a vulnerability rather than a misuse, send it to hello@omwsd.co.uk with “security” in the subject. Please give us a reasonable chance to fix it before publishing. We will not threaten you for telling us, and we will credit you if you want to be credited.
Who you are writing to
OMWSD LTD, a private limited company, limited by shares registered in England and Wales under company number 17452769, registered office 27 Millfield Road, Albrighton, Wolverhampton, WV7 3JN, England.
Reports go to a named person at a real company at a real address. That is the point of publishing all three.
